If you plan to build a new home in Brighton it may soon cost you quite a bit more. Mayor Chris Herrington says a consultant has recommended the town play catch-up after council ignored a recommendation to increase the charges five years ago. Council may decide to phase in the increase. The preliminary report will be released for public comment on August 10th with a public meeting scheduled for August 24th. Council could pass the bylaw September 8th.
