Despite continued dire warnings about the harmful effects the isotope shortage is having on medical services, the situation at Quinte Healthcare hospitals is very good.
QHC spokesperson Kim Cattouw says the organization received it’s normal supply of radioactive isotopes this week, and will again next week, so scans using them have not had to be cut back.
However, it’s not known if that type of supply will continue into the future.
