There won’t be any more councillors or new wards added to trhe make-up of Belleville City Council in the near future. Council voted to maintain the “status quo” after recieving a report from staff comparing it with other municipalities. Earlier this year, Thurlow Ward Councillor Jackie Denyes called for a report on whether or not the number of members should be increased.
