Charges of threatening death and bodily harm have been dismissed against a municipal Councillor in Cramahe Township.
Forty-year-old Timothy Gilligan was charged by Northumberland O-P-P after a man charged in a previous altercation with Gilligan and his father, claimed he was threatened in Colborne on April 26th.
Crown attorney David Thompson told Brighton court yesterday there was no public interest in pursuing the charges, and asked they be withdrawn.
