A Policy that would have banned sales of chocolates by a famous chocolate maker in Campbellford for school fundraising has been put on hold by the public school board.
World’s Finest Chocolates objected earlier this year when the Kawartha-Pine Ridge Board was considering a nutrition policy to get fatty foods and sugar-laden soft drinks out of cafeterias and classrooms.
World’s Finest generates up to 20-thousand dollars in three weeks for schools selling the company’s chocolates, but its fundraising sales would have been banned if the policy had been approved.
