There’s been no let-up in the number of people using the Gleaners food bank in Belleville, and they’ll get help even when the the agency closes for a week.
Spokesperson Sarah Morrow says the food bank will be closed July first to 10-th for a holiday. But she says people really in need will still be able to get some help. Food baskets have been left at various organizations such as the Childrens Aid Soceity and the Social Services department, for use during that week. Morrow says the Food Bank continues to be very busy, noting that 51-people stopped in for assistance on Monday.
