The City of Belleville has written a letter, and now the city’s lawyers are following up with another letter, and the owner of the former Bakelite property in Belleville is in trouble again. Rod Bovay, Belleville’s Deputy Director of Engineering and Development Services, says Jim Sinclair is ignoring zoning regulations and orders from the Ministry of Environment. If the junk isn’t cleared in the next while, charges against Sinclair would likely follow. He is now appealing convictions on environmental charges.
