The fight has begun to stop the Driver and Licence Issuing Office in Brighton from closing.
Northumberland M-P-P Lou Rinaldi says the independent operator has been having some real challenges because his volume of customers is going down.
Brighton resident Joe McMullen started a petition to save the office, and presented papers with 679 names to Rinaldi.
Brighton council has also sent letters to the M-P-P and Transportation Minister Jim Bradley explaining the community’s need for the office.
