This weekend marks the 225th anniversary of the United Empire Loyalists landing in Canada…and, it’s reason to celebrate in Adolphustown. As Norm McAuley explains the group of patriots had their land seized in the late 1700’s following the American Revolution for remaining loyal to the British Crown. They settled in Canada in Adolphustown 225-years ago this weekend. Celebrations at the UEL park in Adoplphustown will take place Saturday and Sunday with about 225 military people re-enacting battles, the loyalist landing and other ceremonies.
