Belleville city council was given another overview and update on the 35-million dollar Multi-Plex Recreation Centre being funded through senior government stimulus packages. Director of Recreaton Mark Fluhrer told councillors that construction would begin this fall and would have to be completed in 18-months… by the fall of 2011. He said extra parking space is being looked at. Fluhrer said discussions are ongoing with the Belleville Bulls…..a new five-thousand seat arena is still in the planning as phase two of the overall project.
