The Ontario Federation of Labour campaign about the recession’s effect on the working class rolls into Belleville today.
The “Drive to Work” Caravan, which is visiting 50 communities across the province, arrives at M-P Daryl Kramp’s office at five o’clock this afternoon, where petitions about the difficulty laid off workers have getting Employment Insurance will be presented.
The caravan stops at City Hall an hour later to give Councillor Pat Culhane similar information, followed by a rally at West Zwick’s.
The O-F-L officials will stay overnight, and will rally outside M-P-P Leona Dombrowsky’s office at 9-30 tomorrow morning.
