The O-L-G is going to wait for Baymount before they start helping to make Belleville’s new racetrack a reality.
After a meeting with Mayor’s of Belleville and Quinte West yesterday… O-L-G representatives say Baymount… the company building the track… has to come up with the equity for the build before the O-L-G will help support it.
The O-L-G has entered into an agreement where it would put up just over 14 million dollars towards construction of the track.
Officials also said yesterday it’s not up to the O-L-G to determine a location for the track… should it not develop in Belleville… that’s up to the Ontario Racing Commission.
