A glowing review from the Fraser Institute for two public elementary schools in Belleville.
The think tank gives Sir John A. Macdonald and Foxboro Public schools a grade of 8.1 out of 10, the best marks in the Hastings-Prince Edward system.
Harry J. Clarke was next at 5.8, and the institute’s lowest ranking for a public elementary school in Belleville went to Queen Victoria, at 1.8. No results were available for Hillcrest, Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth and Sir Mackenzie Bowell schools.
The grades are based on nine indicators from the Education Quality and Accountability Office’s annual standardized tests.
