Belleville has once again thrown its support behind the city’s downtown. Yesterday city council decided to put another 75-thousand dollars in the facade improvement program. President of the Downtown Improvement Area, Jim Obrien, says a real effort is underway to give a facelift to the city core. Under the program the city provides matching grants to business owners for facade improvements up to 75-hundred dollars. Meanwhile the B-D-I-A has hired a consultant to help business owners with the projects.
