Belleville Police have charged a city man with various weapons and theft charges following a serious gun call last Saturday night.
Police were called to a Moira street West residence after reports of people hearing shots being fired. Officers, along with the Belleville Emergency Response Team, responded.
3 males, and one female, eventually left the house, none of whom knew anything about shots being fired.
After a search, police found one 22 caliber rifle, another 222 caliber rifle, and a 20 guage shotgun. One of the weapons was loaded. Police also recovered stolen property.
20 year old Peter Walters of Belleville faces numerous charges, and was released to appear in court in March.
