One-hundred-and-thirty-five-thousand dollars, through the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program is available in Lennox and Addington and Prince Edward counties in down payment assistance to help low to moderate income rental households buy a home..
Rob Rowe says applications are being accepted on a first come-first served basis. A maximum of eight households will be helped under the homeownership program, and the residence must be valued at 180-thousand dollars or less. Nine homes were allocated during the program’s first wave, last autumn.
