On Monday United Way of Quinte Executive Director Julia Gosson told our newsroom they were at 94-percent of their goal. but, last night, confetti fell and the crowd roared as it was announced the campaign had surpassed the 1.65 million target. Mark Philbin was honoured at Volunteer of the Year….Lisa Chesher of QHC was Employee Campaign Coordinator of the Year….other spirit award winners included Bel-Con, Famous Players, Royal Bank, Human Resources Canada, QHC, YMCA of Belleville & Quinte, City of Quinte West, Crown Ridge Health Care and Kellogg’s.
