Quinte Ballet School’s new marketing program to improve its financial stability may be paying off. Enrolment had dropped to fewer than 50-students last year. But the school is touring ten cities to drum up students, and a new artistic director for the summer school is in place. Andrew Parker say enrolment looks good and the guest teachers will include a television dance judge, as well as master teachers from the National Ballet school. Parker, speaking from his present position at a Texas school, says he’s also “in talks” with the Quinte Ballet board regarding a permanent position at the school.
