The Kawartha-Pine Ridge School board is expected to present a new contract offer to its elementary teachers tomorrow.
Provincial teachers association president David Clegg told over 200 teachers in Peterborough last night he expects the board’s position will finally be put on the table at that time.
The deadline for all school boards to present offers to their elementary teachers is February 13th, and teachers could go on strike in late March if the deals aren’t accepted.
The 13-hundred teachers with the Kawartha-Pine Ridge board have been working under the terms of their old contract since last August.
