Amid economic doom and gloom, plant closings and layoffs, the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce is running a survey to determine the economic outlook within the city. And the big surprise is that 40-percent of the respondents so far predict a growth in business in 2009. Chamber manager Suzanne Andrews says that about half way through the survey another 30-percent of the respondents think business will “stay the same” next year. Andrews is encouraging businesses to go on the internet and answer the survey…it runs till Friday.
