Staff at the Crowe Valley Conservation Authority are trying to reduce a 30-thousand dollar increase in next year’s budget.
The authority board made that request after the financial document came in higher than the 630-thousand dollars approved for 2008.
General Manager Tim Pidduck says it’s going to be quite a challenge to cut costs because of several issues, including stoplog maintenance, inflation and maintenance costs at the authority building in Marmora..
The Crowe Valley Authority board will take another look at the budget when it meets again on December 18th.
