A major bursary has been established at the Queen’s Theological College in Kingston to honour a former Trenton couple.
Today Reverend Stephen Weaver announced a donation of 250-thousand dollars to the college at Queen’s University in memory of his late parents, Gerald and Aileen Weaver. The Gerald and Aileen Weaver Bursary Fund will provide an annual award to a ministry candidate at the college. Preference will be given to a ministry student sponsored from King Street United Church Trenton, from elsewhere in Quinte West, or from Brighton. A spokesperson said it was the largest student award in the college’s history.
