Do you love 80’s rock? Moira Secondary School presents its musical theatre production of Rock Of Ages High School Edition featuring music by sweet 80’s bands such as Twisted Sister, Journey, Foreigner, Whitesnake and more. Show dates are Wednesday, May 31st to Saturday, June 3rd with doors opening at 6:30 pm and the show beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and children and will be available at the door. Moira Secondary School is located at 275 Farley Avenue in Belleville.

To celebrate Canada's 150th birthday, 6 of our congregations in Hastings/Prince Edward County are donating 150,000 meals for area children. Our Belleville congregation's quota is 30,000 of those packaged dried meals. Volunteers are needed to help us package these meals on Saturday, June 10, 2017, in 6 - 2hr, 12 person assembly lines beginning at 9 am to 9 pm. Go to JustServe.org for more info and time selection. Worldwide Knit in Public Day - Yarn Attack in the Stacks

Quinte West Public Library will be participating in World Wide Knit in Public Day.

Our event is called Yarn Attack in the Stacks. Participants are invited to bring their latest project and knit, crochet or weave in the library. It’s a great opportunity to socialize with other crafters and see what others are doing. We are offering three simple yarn activities on the day, corking, straw weaving and CD weaving so anyone 4 - 104 can participate. Help us reach 150 participants to celebrate Canada’s birthday. Most activities take place at the Main Branch but people can knit in public at the Frankford branch as well.

Teeing Up Fore Health Care

On Tuesday, June 13, 2017 RE/MAX Quinte Ltd. and the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation will join forces to host the third annual Teeing Up Fore Health Care golf classic at the Picton Golf and Country Club in support of priority medical equipment purchases at our County hospital.

Registration on June 13 will begin at 11:00 a.m. Golfers will then hit the links for the 1:00 p.m. shotgun start to enjoy 18 holes on the well-manicured, picturesque course in Picton. Entry into the tournament costs $150 per golfer. Fee includes golf, power cart, meals and takeaway gift.

June 19th, 10 AM at the Grand Hall located at 58 Prince Edward Street, Brighton. This special program includes the mayor and other dignitaries, the history guy Dan, static displays and music by the ENSS Choir doing a song about each province and other surprises. 23rd Annual 8 AMS Camp Trillium Charity Golf Tournament

Come out and have some fun and support this great local charity. 8 AMS will be hosting The 23rd Annual Camp Trillium Charity golf tournament on the 23rd of June. Camp Trillium located on an island in West Lake, Prince Edward County offers recreational activities to children with cancer bringing their families together in an environment that normalizes relationships. These workshops and family retreats help the healing process and enhance the quality of life. All golfers welcome to come out to the Roundel Glen golf course for a 4 ball, best ball tournament with a 0830 shot gun start. The tournament fee is $ 100.00 which includes green fees, cart, steak lunch and a gift bag. There are game day prizes including longest drive, closest to the pin and a putting challenge.
