Do you love 80’s rock? Moira Secondary School presents its musical theatre production of Rock Of Ages High School Edition featuring music by sweet 80’s bands such as Twisted Sister, Journey, Foreigner, Whitesnake and more. Show dates are Wednesday, May 31st to Saturday, June 3rd with doors opening at 6:30 pm and the show beginning at 7:00 pm. Kiwanis Chicken BBQ

Since 1981, thousands of hungry diners have enjoyed this one-day offering by the Kiwanis Club of Belleville. On Wednesday, June 7, Kiwanians, family and friends gather at the Quinte Curling Club to prepare 1,700 take-out dinners, consisting of ½ BBQ chicken, baked potato, roll and coleslaw. Teeing Up Fore Health Care

On Tuesday, June 13, 2017 RE/MAX Quinte Ltd. and the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation will join forces to host the third annual Teeing Up Fore Health Care golf classic at the Picton Golf and Country Club in support of priority medical equipment purchases at our County hospital.

Registration on June 13 will begin at 11:00 a.m. Golfers will then hit the links for the 1:00 p.m. shotgun start to enjoy 18 holes on the well-manicured, picturesque course in Picton. Entry into the tournament costs $150 per golfer. Fee includes golf, power cart, meals and takeaway gift.

Registration is now open! Please call Briar at 613-476-1008 ext. 4425 to participate. The classic is open to 100 golfers on a first come, first served basis so register early to avoid disappointment. We are also looking for volunteers in various capacities to help throughout the day.

Come be part of the Knitterati! Belleville Public Library's social knitting circle "Knitterati" will return in January 2017. Bring your knitting, crochet, or other fiber craft project to this free drop in program on the second floor of the library to work as a group, chat, and meet other knitters! CARPE DIEM IN CONCERT

"Carpe Diem, Carpe Noctem" - "Seize the Day, Seize the Night" The Carpe Diem String Ensemble returns June 17th 2:30-3:30 for the annual Parrott Gallery spring concert. The night theme of the concert will include pieces by Mozart, Hoagy Carmichael, Glen Miller, Abba and more. The sometimes romantic, sometimes sultry, sometimes dreamy music will include vocal, violin and trombone solos for added spice.

23rd Annual 8 AMS Camp Trillium Charity Golf Tournament

Come out and have some fun and support this great local charity. 8 AMS will be hosting The 23rd Annual Camp Trillium Charity golf tournament on the 23rd of June. Camp Trillium located on an island in West Lake, Prince Edward County offers recreational activities to children with cancer bringing their families together in an environment that normalizes relationships. These workshops and family retreats help the healing process and enhance the quality of life. All golfers welcome to come out to the Roundel Glen golf course for a 4 ball, best ball tournament with a 0830 shot gun start. The tournament fee is $ 100.00 which includes green fees, cart, steak lunch and a gift bag. There are game day prizes including longest drive, closest to the pin and a putting challenge. A silent auction with numerous item will showcase a fully customized Canada 150 themed golf cart. Knitterati social knitting circle

Come be part of the Knitterati! Belleville Public Library's social knitting circle "Knitterati" will return in January 2017. Bring your knitting, crochet, or other fiber craft project to this free drop in program on the second floor of the library to work as a group, chat, and meet other knitters! Just starting out and need a little help casting on? Don’t worry; your fellow knitters will be there to give you a hand or offer advice.
