STANDARD FIRST AID AND CPR ‘C’

Standard First Aid incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including: legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns, and medical emergencies. There is a required textbook which is included in the price.

14th Annual County Marathon

Join us for our 14th Annual County Marathon Weekend on Sunday October 1st, 2017.

Featuring a Boston Qualifying Full Marathon, Half Marathon for Runners, Walkers and Wheeled Athletes as well as a Team Challenge where there can be 2-5 runners " note this year the rate for this event will be per runner versus per team as it has been in the past.

Race Kit Pick up will be held Saturday September 30th only from 10AM " 6PM. If you are not able to attend please find participant to collect your kit on your behalf because your chipped bib will be in your kit (no bib " no time " no medal).

Ameliasburgh Fair

The Ameliasburgh Fair is Sept 30 & Oct 1 at the Ameliasburgh Fair Grounds, behind the Ameliasburgh Town Hall, 13 Coleman Street, Ameliasburgh. On Sat the Fair opens with the parade from Kente School at 10:30. Official opening at 12; The Reasons play from 1 - 5. Kirstie's Petting Zoo & RJ the Balloon Dude will also be there.A street dance is at 7, and fireworks at 9. On Sunday we feature Becky Elliott on stage at 12, as well as the horse, cattle and pet shows, & the County School of Dance. Both days feature exhibits, food vendors, kids activities & more.

“Music at St. Thomas‘” Presents a Choral Evensong

The Choir of St. Thomas' Anglican Church in Belleville, conducted and accompanied by music directors Matthieu Latreille & Francine Nguyen-Savaria, will be singing an hour of choral music at St. Thomas' Anglican Church on Sunday afternoon, October 15th. Works to be performed include “Magnificat,” “Nunc dimittis,” and “Lord for Thy Tender Mercy's Sake” by Renaissance composer Richard Farrant as well as two organ duets. This is a rare opportunity in this area to attend a Choral Evensong service as sung in Anglican Cathedrals for over 400 years. The Evensong service is known as “vespers” in other denominations.

The event will start at 4:30 PM. A reception will follow during which light refreshments will be served.

Join your Spirit Guide Johnathon Shannon and hear stories about the Jack'O'Lantern, Trick or Treating, Hallowe'en and the most haunted places in Belleville. RED CROSS BABYSITTING COURSE

This course is designed for youth 11-15 years old to learn first aid and caregiving skills for children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Students will receive a manual, and upon successful completion a wallet card and certificate. Students are asked to bring a pen, lunch, beverages and a doll or teddy bear for diapering.
