Shamrocks on the Wall starts March 1- 19th. Kick off at the Quinte Mall on March 1st by Sports Check. Donate a Twoonie and have a chance to Win A Ounce of Gold & 2nd Prize $250 Giant Tiger Gift Card. Locations throughout the City of Belleville. We will return to Quinte Mall on March 17-19th and hold a Mega Silent Auction.

Dodgeball Unlimited

Friday, March 3rd from 6-8pm have your team assembled to compete in a 6v6 dodgeball tournament. This event is hosted by students from Loyalist College's Public Relations program in support of Quinte Youth Unlimited.

Entry fee: $75/team $15/individual

If you are signing up as a team, only one person needs to pre-register by buying a team ticket.

If you are signing up as an individual, you will be randomly placed on a team created from other individual entries on tournament day.

Come be part of the Knitterati! Belleville Public Library's social knitting circle "Knitterati" will return in January 2017. International Women’s Day is March 8th. This year, the Belleville International Women’s Day Committee is pleased to welcome Katherine Govier of the Shoe Project. Ms. Govier will be speaking about her project which empowers immigrant women to write their stories through the theme of their shoes. Monthly support group for Stroke Survivors. We talk about stroke recovery, share tips on adjusting to daily life tasks and routines, make connections with other survivors and learn about community resources. Apple a Day

Apple a Day is a one-day fundraiser that will be held on Saturday, March 11 at the Quinte Mall Community Booth from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our group will be selling apples to people at the mall for $2 each, with all the proceeds going towards valuable student nutrition programs provided by Food for Learning. We will also be giving away colouring pages and will even have a fun photo booth for kids to enjoy.

TCF’s Playing for Keeps Program sponsors local kids, allowing them to participate in recreational activities such as sports, music, and dance, among many other activities. The goal is to provide children with additional prospects to build self-esteem, life experience, and skills.

Come on out for awesome food while you help kids get to play!

Watoto Signs & Wonders Concert

Watoto Children's Choir launches a whole new Watoto Children's Choir production; Signs & Wonders that celebrate the joy of salvation. The choir, whose members are orphans and other vulnerable children , will present new worship music from Watoto Church in Uganda and invite you to experience an encounter with God.

Through the power of their testimonies the children will share stories of how their lives have been changed, and how they have been called into a life of purpose to transform their communities. Each story will declare the miracle of transformation - from darkness to light; from despair to hope; from loss to purpose; from fear to faith.

"The Great Rhythmobile Adventure" by Jeunesses Musicales Canada

The Rhythmobile - a super-powered, all-terrain, hybrid vehicle - has unfortunately run out of gas. Captain Kit Crash, the Rhythmobile's clumsy driver, and his tinkering mechanic, Whiplash, have had to swerve off to the side of the road in a panic. The technologically sophisticated 4x4 can't start without the right kind of high rhythm-rated fuel. The Choir of Men and Boys from Christ Church Cathedral (Ottawa) under the direction of Matthew Larkin will give a concert at St. Thomas' Anglican Church in Belleville as part of the third edition of “Music at St. Thomas'” on Sunday, March 19th, 2017 at 4:30 pm. Formed in 1891, the Choir is one of the few remaining choirs of men and boys in North America, and the only such resident choir in a Canadian Anglican cathedral. In addition to regularly singing at Cathedral and Diocesan liturgies, the Choir offers concerts of sacred and secular works. A reception will follow.

A monthly Couples Stroke Support group is available at Community Care for South Hastings. Stroke Survivors and their Caregivers meet together. Free Type 1 Diabetes Risk Screening Event

DO YOU HAVE A RELATIVE WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES?

The TrialNet Type 1 Diabetes Research Group is screening relatives of people with Type 1 diabetes to find out if these family members are at risk for developing diabetes.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

First-degree relatives (children, siblings, parents) of people with type 1 diabetes between the ages of 1 " 45.

OR

Second-degree relatives (cousins, nieces/nephews, aunts/uncles, grandchildren) of people with type 1 diabetes between the ages of 1 " 20.

Screening involves a simple blood test. There is no cost for the test and no special preparation is necessary.

The Marysburgh Mummers present Nunsense

The Little Sisters of Hoboken are coming to Milford this spring in the Marysburgh Mummers production of Nunsense.

This heavenly musical comedy features five nuns, hungry for the spotlight, who find themselves in a predicament when their cook, Sister Julia " Child of God accidentally poisons 52 of their fellow sisters. When the convent’s first in charge, Reverend Mother Regina, splurges on a big screen TV, the remaining Sisters find themselves strapped for cash, as they still have four dead nuns to bury (whose bodies are being stored in the kitchen freezer).

Nunsense appears on Milford`s Mount Tabor stage Friday March 31, Saturday, April 1, Sunday April 2 and again Friday, April 7, Saturday, April 8 and closes Sunday, April 9.
