PEC is a beautiful location and I enjoy going there to ride. I usually stay for the week-end, find excellent accommodation, great meals and take in a few wineries as well. Money well spent. Unfortunately, if the residents of the county think "real jobs" in the form of some large manufacturing operation or high tech facility is eminent, you are probably not being realistic. This isn't happing much anywhere in Ontario and it's less likely to occur in a geographical location like PEC. Tourism is the answer. One event like this brings a lot of people and many will discover the gem that the county is. It's not a one day of the year thing, it works to grow tourism. No excuse for bad mannered cyclists anymore than motorists or residents. It happens, but shouldn't. As for displeasure in your dog not having the run of the county, that doesn't make much of an argument. He/she's your responsibility; don’t let it run loose, that’s not safe for any animal.
