Canada’s Minister of Defence cut the ribbon on a new facility at 8 Wing Trenton today.
The $2.4 million Integrated Personnel Support Centre will provide a variety of services and supports to serving military members, those about to retire into civilian life, and their families.
Minister Harjit Sajjan says the new Centre will consolidate a wide variety of services now spread in various places.
Many services focus on helping military members who have been physically injured or have been suffering from mental issues.
Other supports will provide help to those making what can be a tough transition into civilian life after their military career.
Bay of Quinte riding MP Neil Ellis said the new facility is another example of the Trudeau government’s commitment to Canada’s men and women in uniform, and their families.
