Bike Month 2016 kicks off on June 1 and based on last year’s popularity, organizers are expanding into Quinte West Health.
The month-long festivities are run by Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health and are aimed at promoting the benefits of cycling, not only for your personal health, but for the environment as well.
Health Promoter Tanya Hill tells Quinte News, it made sense to expand programs into Quinte West this year, since the city is really hopping on board with cycling initiatives.
And Hill adds it’s not just about implementing healthy and environmentally friendly options for people to get to work, the addition of cycling infrastructure could lead to an economic boom as well.
