The Wellington Dukes pulled out a win in Stouffville last night with one second to spare.
Nick Abbott scored at 19:59 of the third period to lift Wellington past the Spirit 2-1. Andrew Rinaldi scored the other Wellington goal and Ollie Lafreniere turnesd aside 26 shots. The Dukes are 3-0. They’re back home to host the Brantford 99ers tonight at 7:30 at Lehigh Arena.

The Trenton Golden Hawks open their new OJHL season tonight as they host the Whitby Fury. Thomas Milne is a veteran OJHL coach but starts his first year behind the Trenton bench. Milne has selected Peter Falivena to be his captain. The 20 year old forward joins the Golden Hawks from the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Junior Hockey League. Milne says Falivena is well respected and comes with a lot of experience.
