UPDATE: Belleville Terry Fox Run

UPDATE @ Sep 17: Total raised $38,000

It was a gorgeous day for a running, walking, cycling, or rollerblading, and about 300 people did just in Belleville Sunday for a very good cause.

The 38th annual Terry Fox Run for cancer research was on coast to coast to coast.

When all of the counting was done, the local run raised $38,000, the second highest total raised in the past 6 years.  Last year’s total of $42,000 was the highest amount ever taken in.

The day’s largest individual donation came from well known businessman and philanthropist, Maurice Rollins who presented a cheque for $5,000.
