UPDATED @ 1:45 p.m.: The fire chief in Quinte West says damages to facilities at Trenton Golf Club is estimated around $125,000 after a Wednesday morning fire, which was determined to be accidental.
Flames broke out in a garage building, used to store golf carts and other equipment, around 8:15 a.m.
Fire Chief John Whelan tells Quinte News the compressor of a freezer in the building sparked the flames, which destroyed golf carts and other equipment, amounting to about $100,000 in damages.
The clubhouse next door suffered about $25,000 of smoke damage.
Whelan says nobody was injured in the blaze.
