There are now 15 people running for a Ward 1 seat on Belleville Council.
Incumbent councillor Mike Graham is the latest to file his nomination papers, saying he’s looking to build on what’s been accomplished in the previous term.
Graham got into politics in 2014 after spending more than 30 years working with the Belleville Police Service, working as a beat cop and then moving up the ranks to inspector.
Graham is one of three current councillors trying to retain seats in Ward 1, along with Garnet Thompson and Kelly McCaw.
Elsewhere, total of six people have filed nomination papers to run for positions on Centre Hastings Council.
Incumbent Tom Deline is the only one to file for the mayor’s job so far.
Current councillor Eric Sandford has filed to run for deputy mayor, as has Tom Simpson, in a bid to replace Shelby Kramp-Neuman, who won’t run again.
Kevin McLaughlin, Johnathon Sanders and Eric Collingwood have each filed for one of the three remaining councillor positions.
Meanwhile in Marmora and Lake, Jason Carman, Ron Derry and Bernie Donaldson have all filed to run for council.
