BULLDOGS U-17’s CLOBBER COBOURG

The undefeated Southern Ontario Soccer season of the Belleville Bulldogs girls Under 17 rugby squad was in no danger of ending last night.

Amy Dirks scored 3 tries to lead Belleville to a 71-0 crushing of the Cobourg Saxons.

Mackenna Lachapelle touched down twice. Nadia Stinson, Maddie Hill-Dolan, Olivia Garrett, Addy Walker, Carianna Hoey, Paige Reid, Faith Hopper and Erica Corbett scored single tries. Kiarra Millejours kicked 2 converts and Sarah Lajoie kicked one.

FORMER BULLS SIGN WITH THE PROS

The last captain in Belleville Bulls history has signed a one year contract with the Rockford Icehogs of the American Hockey League.
Brett Welychka played one season in Belleville. The 24 year old Welychka just finished his junior season at Carlton University where he captained the Ravens.

A former first round pick of the Bulls, defenceman Justin Lemke has signed on with the Witchita Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League. Witchita is affaliated with the Edmonton Oilers.
