8 Air Maintenance Squadron welcomes new CO

The summer change of command season continues at CFB Trenton, where 8 Air Maintenance Squadron welcomed a new commanding officer today.

Lieutenant-Colonel Brian Tang took over from Lieutenant-Colonel Todd Murphy after a ceremony on Wednesday.

Lieutenant-Colonel Tang had been the squadron’s Deputy CO from 2013-2015 and also its Aircraft Maintenance Support Officer.

He also held various positions with Defence Research and Development Canada, the Institute for Aerospace Research at the National Research Council and National Defence Headquarters.

His deployments include stints in Afghanistan, with Operation ATHENA in 2009 and also as Commander of CFS Alert in 2015.
