A long-time member of the Municipality of Brighton’s council hopes to turn it up a notch.

Tuesday Brian Ostrander filed his nomination papers and will run to be the mayor of Brighton in the
October local election.

Ostrander served on council from 2003 to 2010 and from 2014 to today.

He not only is the only candidate for mayor of Brighton so far, but the only person to file papers for any council position.
