A 35-year-old Belleville man has been sentenced after a stabbing incident in the city almost a year ago.
Monday, Dan Galpin pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of assault causing bodily harm and guilty to possession of a dangerous weapon.
Galpin was charged after a fight between himself and another man on Pine Street on April 5.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Galpin received six months in jail on each charge, which will be served at the same time as a previous sentence given for other incidents.
He will be on probation for two years after release and is under a 10 year weapons prohibition.
