The Poverty Roundtable Hastings and Prince Edward is preparing to release its report on poverty in the two counties.

Statistics show 16.3% of Hastings County residents live in poverty, 13.9% in Prince Edward County.

Over the past two years, the Poverty Roundtable has met with more than 400 people in poverty.

Director Christine Durant says the report will help the community learn how to address poverty together.

Durant says the plan involves many aspects of the community.

The report will be released to the public during a public meeting at Maranatha Church at 2 p.m. March 20.

Durant says it will then be shared with federal, provincial and municipal representatives .
