While wandering the Quinte Mall you may find your eye drawn to a pretty display of Christmas trees covered in white lights, doves and cards.
Hospice Quinte launched their 23rd annual memorial trees fundraiser on the weekend.
Executive Director Jennifer May-Anderson says they’ve managed to raise almost $60,000 over the years.
This year they’ve introduced something new.
May-Anderson says the funds raised support a couple of different programs.
Anderson Programs
Volunteers are with the trees from the time the mall opens in the morning until it closes at night. May-Anderson says there are approximately 60 volunteers that are helping with this fundraiser this year.
The trees are located in the Quinte Mall outside of Payless Shoes.
A donation of $20 will let a participant place a dove and a card with the name of their loved one on a tree. Other donations see participants get to place a card on the tree.
Hospice Quinte Memorial Trees will be at the mall until December 17th (Sunday).
