A Trent Hills man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder and will be sentenced next month.
Terrance George Elsom appeared in court in Cobourg earlier this week and pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
The 72-year-old was arrested in August after Northumberland OPP found a woman suffering from serious injuries at a seasonal home on Coles Point Road in Seymour Township.
Elsom was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries before being placed in police custody where he remains.
He will be sentenced on December 18.
