Animals in hot vehicles a no-no

Belleville Police are continuing to warn people about the dangers of leaving animals in unattended vehicles in hot weather.

Yesterday, Belleville Police received six calls regarding animals being left alone in vehicles.

Police are reminding motorists that the temperatures can rise rapidly in motor vehicles when the air conditioning is not used.

Even short periods of time can be extremely dangerous to an animal’s health.

If you should see a situation like this, please call police.
