The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service between May 18th, 2017 at 5:00 a.m. and May 19th, 2017 at 5:00 a.m.
Possession of Stolen Jewelry
On May 18th 2017 following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Branch into the possession of stolen jewellery, two Belleville residents – a 31 year old male and a 29 year old female have both been charged with possession of stolen property. The female has also been charged with one count of failing to comply with an Officer in Charge Undertaking. Both parties were held for a Show Cause Hearing scheduled for the 19th of May 2017.
Break and Enter Charges
Belleville, Ontario – On the 18th of April 2017, Belleville Police responded to a Business Break and Enter on North Park St where a Dewalt Radio and battery charger were stolen. As a result of the investigation a warrant was issued for a 32 year old Belleville man for the Break, Enter and Theft. On the 18th of May 2017, while on patrol an officer observed the male in the north end of Belleville and was aware of the outstanding arrest warrant. Subsequently, the male was arrested and held for a Show Cause Hearing scheduled for the 19th of May 2017. The property was returned to the business.
