Threats investigation leads to drug and other charges

A Quinte West man is facing a number of charges, including trafficking illicit drugs, following an OPP investigation into threats.

Specific details weren’t released, but members of the Quinte West OPP Crime Unit and Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau made an arrest Thursday, in connection to the case.

21 year-old Joseph Cassibo is charged with one count each of, conspiracy to commit forcible confinement and robbery, uttering death threats, possession of property obtained by crime, trafficking cocaine, and possession of Oxycodone, plus two counts of breaching probation.

He was held for a Friday bail hearing in Belleville.
