Drug arrest in Belleville

The contents of a backpack have a 20 year old Belleville man in front of the courts.

Belleville police officers watched two men walking along Coleman Street yesterday afternoon, and one of
them discarded a backpack.

Officers spoke to the men, located the backpack, and found over 300 grams of marijuana inside of it, as well as scales and other drug related items.

One man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and breach of probation.

Meanwhile, city police are asking for the public’s help after a house on Bronk Road was ransacked in the past few days.
