The search is underway for a new president for Loyalist College.
Earlier this year, Loyalist College President Maureen Piercy announced she would retire at the end of August.
Piercy, who spent 36 years in the Ontario college system, is stepping down because of health issues.
Board chair June Hagerman says the search has begun with consultants and through the use of the internet.
#1 PREZ SEARCH
Hagerman says the search is not restricted to the local area.
Hagerman says there will be an interim president in place in September but would not reveal the name to Quinte News at this time.
