$$$ boost for Links to Learning Centre

A Belleville non-profit organization that helps children with disabilities has received a financial boost.

Links to Learning Resource Centre helps families and children with learning disabilities and special needs by offering support and tutoring.

Director Joan Burton says it supports 60 children in a year.

Today, 100 Plus Women Who Care Quinte presented a cheque for $16,000 to the Resource Centre.

Burton says it will go along way to buy supplies for the centre.

The money was raised earlier this month among 265 members of the 100 Plus Women Who Care Quinte.

Member Angela Sheppard says the organization was chosen after hearing a presentation on its “wonderful” work with children.
