Rednersville Road rebuild gets $$$

A major road project has received support from Prince Edward County and the provincial and federal governments.

Wednesday morning in Rossmore, Prince Edward Hastings MP Daryl Kramp, Prince Edward Hastings MPP Todd Smith and County Mayor Robert Quaiff announced $9.36 million for upgrades to Rednersville Road.

The work, which will begin next April, will stretch eight kilometres, from Highway 62 to County Road 23.

MP Kramp says the work was crucial.

Mayor Quaiff says it was about working together.

A new base and surface, a bike lane, new culverts and drainage will all be included in the cost, which will be split among the County, the province and the federal governments.
