Hwy 62 closed after fatal 3 car crash

9:00 pm UPDATE: Prince Edward County OPP say a female driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene and two other occupants have minor injuries. Highway 62 remains closed as officers investigate, and traffic is being re-routed around the accident scene on County Road 28.

No traffic is getting through on a section of Highway 62, just over the Norris-Whitney Bridge in Prince Edward County, for a while.

That’s the word from the Prince Edward County Fire Department, after a three car collision around 5:00 this afternoon.

It happened on Fenwood Crescent at Highway 62 south of Rossmore.

There’s no word on the condition of the occupants involved.

Highway 62 is closed in both directions between Fenwood Crescent and County Road 28 and will be until further notice.

No other details have been released.
