QW council to discuss property values

They’ll be talking property assessment and taxes at Quinte West council tomorrow night.

A representative from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation will be speaking to council and answering questions.

Recent reports said property assessments, on average, were up more than 10 percent.

However, that increase does NOT necessarily mean a big tax increase.

It depends on what local tax rates councils decide upon.

Quinte West council meets tomorrow evening at 6:30 at city hall.
