When will all this senseless violence end in this area???

  4. just saying, dude says:

it will end when judges start handing out real punishment for ones actions.
take a life serve a life sentence. 25year minimum, no exception. anything less is just time that can be counted down.stop giving credit for time served prior to conviction, no parole eligibility until 90 of sentence is served.

this is what will deter this violence from happening, And when these so called educated judges that live the upper class life, out of touch with reality of living at or below the poverty line, politicians lawyers judges mayors and big corporate CEO’s should be mandated to live 2 months at 15,000$ a year income, only then they will start to grasp what society needs, until then we are all in jeopardy of being next. next to be a victim, next to suffer a medical condition and suffer loss of income, next to have there job move south. Why are people so out of touch with the struggle of real live below the 30,000 a year income.

if the upper society and policy makers spent 2 months living destitute, they may learn why we don’t need a multi million dollar marina. or a casino. what we need is good jobs to elevate the society of the area. So that we have value to our lives, remove the desperation that you can see just by driving around.

thats when all this senseless violence will be over.

“just saying, dude”…..Why should anyone be “mandated to live 2 months at 15,000 a year income”????? They are educated and driven people. If people perhaps chose to become educated, stay in school, get off their lazy arses, and maybe become motivated, they would not have to live in poverty. Geesh. You are saying that those living at the poverty line are the only ones who know what society needs???? I don’t agree. I think that most of those people think they are simply ENTITLED to more than they deserve (hand outs) THAT’S what is wrong with society.

@just saying dude : it won’t matter how hard the judges get. If someone is commiting a violent crime the will commit it reguardless of consequence.

  7. Wayne "the duke" says:

It’s sad, but too many of these “relationships” that never should have started, end in death for someone. It’s sad, but too often the people who are closest to the victim, see all the warning signs, and don’t help before it’s too late. It’s sad, but the “system” often has the opportunity to prevent these tragedies from happening. It’s sad but, political correctness often takes precedence over what is truly the right thing to do, when it comes to protecting those unable to protect themselves.

  8. Ken says:

This is unbelievable, very sorry to hear what happened to her.I know she will be dearly missed by her 3 children and family.GOD BLESS YOU CINDY

  9. Sharon says:

The problem is drugs and alchol and the police are at adren court every day, and until we know the facts we should not judge

  12. guest says:

Agree with “feen” this town needs a good clean up and our jurisdiction system have the power, right, and authority to interpret and apply the law. However they aren’t doing a very good job of it and its really starting to show, Belleville is already losing its rep for the “friendly city” to the “scum city” and our “law” is letting it, time to crack down! How many more people have to die????

  13. Shelly Ann says:

It is very sad when a loved one is taken from us but even worse when you have some people who are basically saying it’s her own fault. How dare someone judge and say it’s just because people are lazy and looking for hand outs. Don’t judge until you’ve walked in their shoes!!! Have some compassion for her and her loved ones who are left without a mother, daughter, sister and the rest of the family. Don’t think something bad can’t happen to you just because you are educated and “not lazy”!!

  14. a says:

rip Cindy , you’ll be missed by plenty .
