Prince Edward Hastings and Northumberland Quinte West could no longer be ridings for elections.
Officials are looking at changes to the ridings, and they would effect almost every listener in the area.
Local MP Daryl Kramp told CJBQ’s Lorne Brooker show his thoughts on the proposal.
There would be a riding called Prince Edward-Quinte West, there’d be a riding called Belleville-Napanee-Frontenac.
Hastings County north of Quinte West and Belleville would be in a riding called Lanark-Frontenac-Hastings.
Public meetings will take place November eighth and ninth in Belleville to discuss the changes.

Agree with MP Kramp. This riding cannot be fragmented, and therefore misrepresented. We need a Quinte riding that includes at the very least – Belleville and Quinte West together, alongside Brighton, Napanee, and PEC.
